VIETNAM CARROT – March 2026 – New Season Begin!

As March 2026 arrives, Sunshine Group is excited to officially announce the start of the Vietnamese carrot season. This year marks a remarkable improvement in both volume and quality compared to 2025, offering stronger supply capabilities and premium-grade produce for global markets. Let’s explore what makes this season exceptional.Origin of Vietnamese Carrots

Vietnamese carrots are primarily cultivated in Hai Duong Province, Northern Vietnam—widely recognized as the best region for carrot farming in the country. With fertile soil and favorable climate conditions, carrots from Hai Duong are known for their natural sweetness, firm texture, and consistent quality, making them highly suitable for export markets.

More Fresh – More Quality – More Consistent

The difference between the 2025 and 2026 Vietnamese carrot seasons is both clear and significant. In 2025, unfavorable weather conditions had a noticeable impact on overall crop quality. Carrots showed inconsistencies in skin appearance and internal texture, while sizing was uneven—creating challenges for export standardization and market expectations.

In contrast, the 2026 season has started on a much stronger foundation. Favorable growing conditions have resulted in carrots with bright, smooth skin and solid internal quality. Sizing has also become more uniform, meeting export requirements across standard grades (S/M/L/2L), which allows for better consistency in packing and shipment.
The 2026 carrot season has officially begun, and crop quality is excellent this year:
✔ Bright, smooth skin with strong internal quality
✔ Uniform export sizes (S/M/L/2L)
✔ One of the best harvests in recent years

Vietnam Carrot Specifications

Vietnamese carrots are carefully graded to meet diverse export market requirements, with clear specifications for size, length, and weight. The S grade (11–14 cm, under 85g) is ideal for markets requiring smaller, more uniform pieces, while M size (16–25 cm, 85–160g) offers a balanced option for general consumption. Larger grades such as L (over 160g up to 290g) and 2L (over 390g up to 500g) are selected for markets that prefer bigger, premium-quality carrots with fewer pieces per kilogram.

This standardized classification ensures consistency in packing and shipment, allowing buyers to select the most suitable specifications for their market needs. With flexible sizing and packaging options—including 3.8kg, 4.5kg, and 10kg boxes—Vietnamese carrots are well-positioned to serve key export markets such as Malaysia and the Middle East with efficiency and reliability.

The Sunshine Approach

At Sunshine Group, we approach this challenge with a strong commitment to consistency, reliability, and long-term partnership. Understanding the importance of the short 3-month carrot season, we implement a fully controlled process from farm to export.
Our team is deployed directly at the growing and packing areas, where they monitor daily harvesting activities and ensure that every step follows strict, standardized procedures. By maintaining hands-on supervision and close collaboration with our partners, we are able to control quality at the source rather than relying on remote inspections.
This proactive approach allows us to consistently supply 20–30 containers per month, all meeting export-grade standards. More importantly, it reflects our commitment to delivering not just products, but dependable quality that our partners can trust throughout the entire season.
