At Sunshine Group, we believe that the quality of an exported fruit shipment is determined not only by the cultivation process but also by professional packaging practices. With shipments traveling to various international markets, ensuring that fruits remain fresh, visually appealing, and well protected throughout the entire transportation journey is one of our top priorities.

Through modern and standardized packaging methods, fruits are protected from impacts, sunlight, and other external factors that could cause damage. At the same time, our packaging is designed to be clean, aesthetically pleasing, and professional, allowing the fruit to maintain its fresh and attractive appearance just as it was at the time of harvest when it reaches consumers.

Characteristics of Vietnamese Fruits

Most fruits grown in Vietnam come from tropical climates, which means their shelf life is generally shorter compared to fruits from temperate regions. After harvesting, fruits must be properly drained and dried before packaging, as packing them while still wet can accelerate the spoilage process.

A common method for fruit packaging is the use of specialized foam nets in various sizes. These foam protectors are typically designed in a mesh shape to prevent fruits from colliding with one another during handling and transport. Additional materials such as wrapping paper or protective liners can also be used to provide extra protection.

To complete the packaging process, fruits are usually placed into sturdy cardboard cartons or thick foam boxes. For larger fruits with thick skins such as jackfruit, durian, and watermelon woven sacks may sometimes be used instead of cartons.

During transportation, it is important to keep the cartons dry and protected from direct sunlight and water exposure, as these factors can cause the fruit to deteriorate more quickly.

Fruit Packaging and Transportation

When exporting fruit, packaging must comply with several important requirements to ensure the safety and quality of the products throughout the transportation process:

  • The cartons must be carefully designed with sizes appropriate to the volume of fruit inside.
  • Packaging materials must be fumigated and certified, with official stamps and documentation confirming the treatment.
  • The carton design should optimize storage space on transportation vehicles such as trucks, ships, or aircraft.
  • Cartons must be securely stacked and firmly fixed to prevent movement and damage during transit.
  • Each carton should be properly labeled and sealed to ensure traceability and protect product quality.
  • Packaging must comply with ISPM 15 standards, ensuring that wood materials have been treated to prevent the spread of wood-borne pests.

In agricultural production, proper packaging and preservation are extremely important to maintain product quality. Therefore, fruit must be packed carefully to protect what is inside. Shock-absorbing foam nets or cushioning materials are often used as liners, helping reduce impact, prevent scratches, and protect the fruit during transportation.

Why Fruit Packaging Matters to Us?

In short,
fruit is a highly sensitive product when it comes to transportation conditions. Without proper packaging, fruit can easily become bruised, lose moisture, or decline in quality before it reaches international customers.

For export operations, maintaining the freshness and appearance of fruit throughout the entire shipping journey is essential to preserving trust with global partners. However, not every supplier fully understands the strict packaging standards required for fruit exports.

That’s why at Sunshine Group, we place special emphasis on our packaging, preservation, and logistics processes. By carefully managing every step, we ensure that Vietnamese fruit maintains its quality from farm to destination—helping elevate the value of Vietnam’s agricultural products while building long-term trust with partners and consumers around the world.
